About Afder International School
Afder International School is a unique institution that integrates a residential orphanage with a comprehensive educational program. We are dedicated to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring environment where students achieve academic excellence and personal growth.
Our student body currently comprises 272 students. Of these, 196 are orphaned children who reside full-time on our campus. We are particularly committed to gender inclusion, with girls making up 19% of our population.
These children hail from 10 districts across the Afder and Shabelle zones. Our core mission is to provide these young learners with a high-quality education and practical skills in a condensed timeframe.
New Orphanage School Completed
Shadow of Charity has proudly constructed one of the region's most impactful orphanage schools. Spanning 18,443 square meters, this facility is now serving 300 orphaned and vulnerable students, providing them with quality education and a safe, nurturing home.

1,800 Households Receive Cash Grants
To improve economic resilience, SOC provided cash grants to 1,800 marginalized households impacted by natural and man-made disasters.
